Ars Regia is an Italian company based in Ferrara: we create textiles of art of the highest level for interior and liturgical design. In parallel with this activity, our workshop designes and mades unique works of haute couture, including vestments and furnishings and embroideries for liturgical use.
Art textiles
An exclusive production of precious damasks, lampasses, brocades and cutted velvets in noble fibers - which are accompanied by gallons, fringes and flocks - allows us to ensure the highest quality and uniqueness to our creations. We can weave any type of fabric, fringe and trimmings, even at the request of the customer, by offering competent and professional assistance for the retrieval of design and the selection of materials. Our frames – mechanical and manual – allow us to diversify the offer on customer's budget. Production is targeted to the supply of materials for our internal atelier, as well as workshops and professional studies that may need fabrics and embroideries for historical events, movies, celebrations and museum restorations.
Embroidery and restoration
Ars Regia offers precious embroideries, starting from simple heraldic emblems and coats of arms in gold and silver thread, to entirely hand-embroidered items with applications of gems and pearls: the timing of the making are of course commensurate with the complexity of work, but our customers know that if they want a unique artwork they must wait as long as necessary: for the creation of industrial low profile goods there is certainly no lack of alternatives on the market, but they have nothing to do with what our company produces. Our professionals are also available for interventions of textile restoration, as well as vestments, furniture, banners, canopies, etc.
Interior Design
Ars Regia proposes some complementary fittings up to the highest quality standards and using its own textiles: fabric wallcoverings, curtains, pillows, wall hangings, table covers, tapestries etc. Interior decorators and antiques will find a valuable partner in Ars Regia which entrust the implementation of specific projects, from the weaving on customized and exclusive patterns until the choice of fabrics to be used e.g. to cover antique furnitures.

In the wake of the great Italian tradition, Ars Regia offers prestigious copies d'ancien: cabinets, bookcases, tables, chairs, benches, cupboards, canopy beds, etc., made on the original models with fine wood and finishes. Our production is specialized in Italian replicas of the sixteenth, seventeenth and eighteenth century and works with cabinetmakers and craftsmen supported by expert designers. We can make custom furniture, even on the specific request of the customer.
Liturgical Design
Ars Regia has the best models of vestments held in churches and museums all over the world: unique works for used materials, form and design, always strictly according to liturgical norms but with a particular look at the preciousness and uniqueness of the garment. Finishings, entirely handmade, ensure a high level product and is immediately distinguished from industrial items. You will notice that in our vestments the pattern of the fabric is always strictly symmetrical, as well as for accessories: this involves a greater use of tissue but the benefit goes to the final yield. In the interior part of the vestment is always affixed a silk label with Ars Regia logo, in order to ensure the authenticity of the product. There are many variants of liturgical vestments, that's why our customers can choose different combinations of fabrics, linings, embroideries, gallons and fringes. You can also choose between the normal and precious model. Among vestments that are currently more appreciated – also in relation to the prestigious Clients that we are proud to have – stands out our borromaea chasuble, whose shape is in our opinion the one that best combines a look at the philological liturgical tradition with the comfort of use.
